Yeah, because a dirt poor white kid growing up
in Appalachia or a dirt poor black kid growing up in the inner city housing projects has the same opportunity to succeed academically and gain admission to top colleges as a rich kid attending an elite private school, getting tutored for AP courses and standardized tests, getting preferential access to admissions officials through their school, in many cases getting a psychologist to assess them for an extra time accommodation for the SAT and AP exam. It’s a totally level playing field. These lazy poor kids just need to bootstrap themselves up. Preferential treatment would be ridiculous. It’s just more victimhood culture. Those kids raised in poverty don’t know how good they have it.
Solid point.
